New Hair Growth? Yes Please!

Here’s how it works

What is platelet rich plasma (PRP)?

Platelets are a component of your blood, along with liquid plasma and red blood cells. They contain special restorative growth factors that help you rebuild tissue – including hair.

The treatment at Revive Medical Spa uses PRP derived from your own blood. Our staff uses the Eclipse PRP® to collect and separate your blood to create the optimal platelet concentrations and cellular content.

The staff will draw a small amount of your blood and spin it in a centrifuge with the Eclipse gel to create your PRP compound, customized to treat your hair specifically.

How do PRP injections help with hair restoration?

The growth factors in PRP, including the platelet-derived growth factor and transforming growth factor group, stimulate new, healthy hair growth in areas of your scalp where your hair is beginning to recede or thin. These growth factors are essentially messengers, directing your skin cells and hair follicles to respond.

Who is a good candidate for PRP injections?

Men or women with thinning or receding hair are great candidates for this treatment. People within the earliest stages of hair loss do seem to experience the best results, however.

Consult with Ms. Schmitt, RN to determine if the procedure is right for you.
